Big Shoes To Fill
I don't know if it is possible....but I think Luke gets cuter every day! Today he went in to the bedroom and when he came out he was wearing Daddy's shoes. (on the right feet I might add) He loves shoes. If you tell him to go get his shoes he will bring you a pair. He knows that usually that means we get to go outside!
He is getting so BIG! He is not really talking yet but he babbles a lot. He says Dada of course and just this week he says uh oh, he uses it correctly also. He is very happy to wave to all of the cars going by, especially the big ones. He has figured out where his nose is and can point to it. Now, we are working on his eyes. He will clap along to "If Your Happy and You Know It" and point to his cheeks when you sing "then your face will surly show it"-he hasn't mastered this yet, it is a work in progress.

Rodeo

This past weekend was sooo much fun! We went to the Rodeo on Saturday. Luke got to experience his first petting zoo. He was overjoyed with all of the animals. He would bend down and rest his head on their backs and gave them very gentle pets. Grammie insisted that we get a picture with the pony, and I'm glad she did because it turned out incredibly adorable! John and I had been talking about getting Luke a guitar and it just so happened that at the rodeo there was a dart game where you could win a small guitar. With John's good aim we WON! So as you can see in the picture, Luke loves his new instrument. On Saturday we went to see Willy Nelson at the Backyard for Austin's 22nd birthday. I hope that Luke was getting some good lessons.

We had a fabulous WINDY weekend. We went to Zilker to enjoy the 80th annual kite festival. Believe it or not, it was to windy for kites. There were tons of them stuck in trees! It was really neat to see all the different kinds. Some lady won an award for the smallest kite. I think it measured 1in square, I didn't actually see it fly-but she was very thrilled.
This picture is of Luke playing in his gravel pit in the backyard. He is working very hard on putting rocks in the bucket!
I hear Sherman, where Austin is, has had 2 snows in the past week! Texas weather is hard to keep up with.
