Vroom Vroom

Luke is getting the hang on riding his Big Wheel. He can't reach the pedals yet but he knows how to move it around! (see video 4/25) He is really into cars this week. We have been pushing them around the house, sending them down ramps and rolling them on our tummies!

Bluebonnets

It is that beautiful time of the year when all the flowers are in bloom. It is also time to take the annual "Bluebonnet" pictures! Luke's word of the week is "hot". One day we put him into his car seat and it was HOT. I said "Oh, this is hot!" Seconds later Luke said "Hot". Of course John and I immediately responded with glee and repeated the word again. Luke just stared at me intently and then said "hot". Now every time we get into the car seat he says it. Does he think the word for his car seat is hot? We will have to try it on other things.

Body Parts

Luke surprises me how smart he is sometimes. Since he can't talk I don't really know all the words that he understands. For instance I just learned that he knew where/what his mouth was. He also knows his eyes, nose, ears, belly and maybe even face. I asked him "where is the cat?" when we were reading a book, and he pointed right to it.... who knew? He is currently teething so he is a little more moody than usual, understandable. We were doing so good giving the passy and blanket only at sleep times. Now, with him teething he seems more dependent on them to sooth him. (and mom and dad are more dependent on them, yikes) With all that being said, he really is a trooper. He is still full of life and laughs!!!!

Easter

The pictures are of Luke on his Easter egg hunt and of us with our cousin Jenna, after she confetti egged our heads! Please be sure to check out the new video on the left, it is of Luke bustin' a move! Development updates: He is starting to really learn how to blow kisses, he can say Gypsy, bark like a dog, make the sound of a car driving, balance on one leg, feed himself with a spoon, and the thing that he is best at is being CUTE!!!!
