Holiday Time

We have been busy just living life lately. We had such a wonderful time visiting with all of the family in TN. (I hope to have pics loaded on shutterfly soon.) It is always so great to see everyone and so sad to leave. The boys adored everyone and have possibly been going through attention withdraws. Just kidding. However, Luke has been talking about everyone since. Ty is starting to move around more, still not crawling. He can travel about 3 ft by scooting and rolling. He likes to be active. Luke is talking up a storm and saying the cutest things. Things as simple as "I love you", melts my heart.

Luke's 3rd Birthday

Luke is 3!!! We had a fun birthday bash. Thanks to everyone for all the wishes, love, and gifts. We visited at the house and then went to a local indoor play area called Locomotion. We really wore the kids out and had a blast!!!! Visit the tymashall shutterfly link for all the b.day pics ( find it on left column towards the bottom, for those who don't remember)

Adorable

Hey everyone!! We had soooo much fun for Halloween. Luke and Ty wore their costumes the entire day. We enjoyed trick-or-treating in Mimi's neighborhood. Luke got lots of candy and welcomed all the kids to the door. Of course we had to check the door first to see if there was someone to scary. (He is very cautious these days) We didn't catch him in time to stop him from seeing the "Big Bad Wolf" so now that is what he talks about. I added a few pics to the Ty Marshall shutterfly album...go to link posted on blog. We are gearing up for Luke's 3rd B.day, anyone who wants to come can. We will be going to Jumpy Gym for a little while to play and then come to the house for cake and maybe dinner.... I will post more when we have concrete plans. The other picture here is John's new school location. He has been working hard to get it ready for the big move.

Cutie Pies

These two boys are soooo cute! Luke has been enjoying building with blocks, lincoln logs and train tracks (with Dad's help of course). Luke is going to be Superman for Halloween, he is very excited. Luke is also attempting to pee pee in the potty. It is a process. Ty is full of laughs. He is getting so big. He makes lots of cute noises and has rolled over a few times. The two of them have been keeping us VERY busy. If it isn't one of them it is the other needing something :) We wouldn't change it for the world though!

We are still here

I'm still going through an adjustment phase. It is hard for me to blog as much lately, the boys just keep me busy and by the time quiet time comes I zone out :) We have all been doing well!! The picture is of Luke and his 2nd cousin Talyn playing at the water spouts at the Long Center (so much fun). The other picture is of Ty trying to eat big boy cereal. As chunky as he is you would think that he would like it more that he does. I think he is going threw a growth spurt he has been eating every 2 1/2 hours the past couple of days. By the way he already weighs 15lbs. He is a happy boy he loves to smile, laugh, and coo. He is also starting to reach for toys and take some interest. Luke as always is a WONDERFUL big brother! Luke is starting to get so creative with his play and sooooo verbal. We have to be very careful about what we talk about now because the little ears are ALWAYS listening.

Hot Days

We have been suffering very HOT days here. It has been over 100 for days. We have been playing a lot inside and going to the pool on Fridays. Luke has been using his lifejacket and can get around on his own for most part. The drawing I posted is Lukes first "real" picture. It is of snakes and the lines across each line are the eyes, at the top, and tails, at the bottom. So cute! Ty has been doing great. He FINALLY lost his belly button cord yesterday. Yes, it is hard to believe but true. He still doesn't do much...sleep, eat, cry, poop, the usual. He can hold his head up pretty well and he is smiling a little and he has been VERY cute!!

Growing So Fast

I can't believe it has been a month since our last post. I can really see how much Ty has grown by looking at his pictures from a month ago. He does LOVE to eat. We think his butterballness is adorable of course!!! We just had a wonderful visit from John's Mom and Tom. They got in a lot of good snuggle time! Sadly I go back to work on Monday, so it will be time for some more adjusting for our family. Luke has been doing fabulously so that is nice. Hopefully no one will be going to the looney bin :) I finally have a clean bill of health from the doc, so no more high blood pressure meds and life continues on.........

Brotherly Love

Check out the new video. Luke is trying to nurse Ty. It was so funny to see him attempting to help out his brother, I hope it comes across as funny in the video. He has finally given Ty some kisses! Luke has been very sweet with his little brother. The other day we were driving in the car and Ty was a little fussy. John and I looked back to check on him Luke was holding Ty's pacifier in Ty's mouth and he kept his had there to hold it in for a long time. It was so cute!

The Boys

John and I are trying to get used to saying our "kids". We are learning that we have to identify better which child we are talking about, little guy doesn't work anymore. I have put a link to some of our shutterfly pics. There you can see more pictures and order pictures if you would like. To get there go to the link section of this blog in the left hand column and click on the shutterfly link. It should take you right to it. If you can't see that the link is http://tymarshallroberson.shutterfly.com Enjoy!!!

New Arrival

He is here earlier than expected but just as cute as we expected! Our new arrival Ty Marshall Roberson born April 14 2009 at 4:57pm weighing in at 7 lb 0.8 oz and 19 1/4 in. We are FINALLY home and getting settled in. Luke is doing very well with the baby. His biggest inquire is Mommy nursing the baby. He says the baby is eating Mommy. We will see how the next few days go I'm sure there will be some transitioning. Ace was totally depressed yesterday but seems to be coming around.

Sea World

Oh what fun we had! Notice Luke's facial expression. He was mesmerized by the Orka Whales. When the show was over he said "more". He has been asking to go back ever since. I had to tell him it was closed. One day he asked me "Sea World open?" He is so cute, we will definitely be going back (after the new arrival).

6 weeks to go

He is a mess! We actually have to rake in the spring here because that is when the live oak trees loose their leaves, weird. Luke was all about playing in the leaves, not so much raking. We are down to 6 weeks until the new little guy arrives. We do not have a name yet... this week it is between Bryce and Grant. Seth and Jake have recently fallen off the list. We are looking for a one syllable first name. If you have any input leave it in the comment section. We had a Dr. appt this week. My blood pressure was a little high so I went back today and all is well. They are making me go back next week just to keep a better tab on me, I guess. I am feeling good. My only complaint is that I am retaining water like a reservoir. My hands and feet are constantly swollen. Oh well, could be worse.

Imagination

Luke playing by himself. It is neat to see where his imagination takes him. He is getting to be such a big boy. He enjoys playing with his cars, animals, trains and loves watching his movies. Right now we are struggling with the bed time routine. He is now in a big boy bed and having a little difficulty staying in it. The past 2 nights it has taken 2 hours for him to settle in! He is wearing me out, good thing he is so adorable!! As far as the pregnancy goes, all is well. No real changes, we just can't believe how soon the new little one will be here.

Birthday Fun

We celebrated John's Birthday, Feb 5th. (Actually, we celebrated weekend before last...I just haven't been doing a good job posting blogs.) We won't say his age because he is old enough NOT to do that anymore, hehe. We got a special treat when Austin, Sophie and their little dog Jacoby came to celebrate with us. We went to the old time favorite Red Lobster.

Fishing

We actually caught some cute little Brim fish when we went fishing last weekend. Sadly, we didn't have the camera with us.... ridiculous! Luke was very intrigued with their eyes. He kept poking at them. Poor fish. I am sure this won't be our last fishing expedition so we will definitely take pics next time.

Art

Luke gets into his projects. He is becoming so independent. Sometimes that is good. However, sometimes he get frustrated. It is cute though to see him trying to do everything all by himself.

Baby Update

I just realized I haven't been keeping everyone updated on the upcoming new addition. For those who don't know, we are having another boy! We are very excited! We have a set date for his arrival, April 28th, unless he comes early. I have been feeling fine, my only complaint is cedar allergies, which has nothing to do with baby. John is looking forward to having another boy or another sparring buddy. Luke isn't really sure what is going on. However, he did the cutest thing in the tub. He was laying on his back and I was patting his belly. He said "baby" and pushed his belly up as far as it would go. It made me laugh, did I mention how adorable he is!!!!

Bastrop SP

We got out and enjoyed the outdoors this weekend at Bastrop St. Park. We went on a little hike and played around the pond. We hope to do more outdoor activities this summer. Luke is at a good age for exploring!

Christmas 08

We have been on the go all season it feels like. We had such a wonderful time visiting all of the family in N.C. and TN. We had great adventures like seeing the sharks at the aquarium, swimming inside when it was 27 degrees outside, riding a backhoe, eating fabulous food, laughing with family and watching Luke light up when he opened his presents. Thank you to everyone for making this holiday so special!!! PS check out the new link to Shadracks Christmas. It was an amazing Christmas light show that we saw in Knoxville.
